Gether Contemporary is a gallery devoted to contemporary art. The vision is to present art which deviates from the norm and which provokes new thoughts and feelings. The profile is characterized by art, which seek new forms of expression and unexpected media. The fundamental idea of our cooperation with various artists is that art is about communication. We want to establish a dialogue between the artwork and the viewer as we think that art has something important to say to us all. The road travelled through media and expression is sought out to be a new and fresh one. Even in the gallery's approach to the classical media such as sculpture and painting we choose artists who seek an independent take and present new and radical ways to re-work the traditional media. We are strong believers in having a sound foundation in art history, basing our thoughts and perspectives on art and its development and on the philosophy and ideas, which has nourished and supported our society and its artists throughout time. The gallery has within its short history striven to show independent debuting artists. Creating the foundation for young ambitious talents helping to direct their efforts and clearing a strong career path into the future artworld. The ambition is to stay with the artists represented by the gallery steadily building their career resting on an open dialogue between artist and gallery.
