Pianist extraordinaire Mads Heide has been on the Copenhagen scene for over 20 years as a composer and band member with exceptional skills in Jazz, Blues, Gospel and Soul. Mads has that feeling that makes you really feel the roots of American music and a classical training. Mads and Deborah together are a full show.

DeBorah is from the Western part of the State of New York near Niagara Falls.
Influenced by Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Charles, Mahalia Jackson, Louis Armstrong, Bessie Smith at a young age, She started to love music and singing publicly at the age of seven. Her father Walter Stanley Herbert knew all the greats: Billie Strayhorn, Duke Ellington and Dizzy Gillespie and she grew up listening to all the old stories of the Jazz greats. DeBorah was invited to a Jazz Concert of Dizzy Gillespie, where she had a chance to meet him and share the story about her father and he invited her to sing with him.

DeBorah received a call to come and perform in Copenhagen and that changed her life forever. Copenhagen welcomed her with open arms. Several opportunities opened for DeBorah during the following decades until today. For instance, she was part of establishing Borneteatre which is now "Christiania Jazz Club".Having met and sung with some of the most Prestigious Jazz Musicians and singers at Jam Sessions and concerts Ms. Herbert was asked to produce and write a musical about The History of Jazz in Spiegeltent . The production was called, "The Dame DeBorah Show", where she worked with some of the greatest Jazz Cats such as: Horace Parlan, Richard Boone, Ed Thigpen, and singer Ms, Vera Love, to name a few.

In the 1990's and through the years until today, she performed and toured with Kirk Lightsey, and Doug Sides in Germany, Greece and Sweden. Also performed in several tours with New Orleans Festivals in Germany, Austria, Sweden, Norway and Denmark to date. In December last year, DeBorah and her talented daughter, Jazz Malaika made a
production, Christmas Canal Cruise Concert in Copenhagen on the beautiful canals.
On, January 2026 of next year
she has a tour/recording project on the Faroe Islands. All of these experiences in music
have brought her full circle as a singer, composer, producer, entertainer and a
messenger of Love.
