Clean lines, calm, light and harmony. But with the elasticity of the willow branch and the fleeting transparency of the paper, we create sculptures - lamps, mobiles or something completely different - only your imagination sets the limits.You can build large or small, wild or strict, standing or hanging sculptures.
You will learn the techniques from scratch - from building a skeleton in willow to how to glue the paper onto your sculpture. Along the way, you will be guided in how to create a harmonious and beautiful sculpture.On the first day, we will, among other things, make our own paper, which can later be included in our sculptures/mobiles.
Willow is a fantastic, elastic and lifelike natural material. Together with paper, it allows you to create the most beautiful, unique sculptures with clean lines and a beautiful play of light and shadow.The many layers of paper create endless possibilities when the sculpture is placed against daylight or with a string of lights.
The week also offers the full college experience with morning and evening gatherings, lectures and fun - both in the fireplace room and over delicious meals. All the school's workshops are full during Vrå College's traditional art weeks.
During the summer courses, it is normal that you will be accommodated in double rooms with private bathroom and toilet. You can book a single room for an additional charge of DKK 1,650.

All materials are purchased at the course (approx. 150-250 DKK).
Bring a sharp pruning shears.
