The way we think can make us feel bad

If you have an exam tomorrow and you get nervous, it's not the exam that makes you nervous, but what you THINK about the exam.

If you feel bad when you think about an unpleasant experience you had a week ago, it's not the experience that makes you feel bad, but what you THINK about the experience.

If you're thinking: "I can't do that", you're right.

During the lecture, you will learn techniques to control your thoughts so that you don't think about yourself as having a bad feeling.

The lecture also includes the following topics:

Control your thoughts and emotions and become free from stress, anxiety and depression:

85% of people experience mental health problems or mental illness at some point in their lives.

Through brain scans and more, new research has identified certain fixed biases or patterns in the brain that cause mental health problems and mental illness.

These fixed biases or patterns can, with simple techniques, be changed.

At the lecture you will learn about these biases/patterns and how you can change them yourself

Can you learn "NOT TO BE ABLE TO RIDE A CYCLE"?

When you first learned to ride a bike, you consciously focused all your attention on keeping your balance, pedaling, looking at the road, etc. It was not possible to think or talk about other things at the same time.

After doing it for a while, automatic patterns were created in the brain and today you can ride a bike without thinking about what you're doing. It's completely automatic.

If you want to learn "not being able to ride a bike", for the next three months, every time you get on your bike, you must consciously fall over. New automatic patterns will form in your brain and then you will fall over automatically.

All bad habits and inappropriate reactions can be changed in the same way.

At the lecture, you will get a detailed explanation and several techniques to change what you want to change.

Being in the Now:

Unlike animals, humans are equipped with an imagination. This has allowed us to evolve as far as we have. We should be grateful for that. But it can also be a disadvantage if you can't control your imagination.

Many people imagine bad things that will never happen and become sad, nervous, angry or whatever. They live in the future.

There is nothing wrong with thinking about the future, but if you become filled with bad emotions and become paralyzed when your attention is focused on the future, then it is better to focus your attention on the Now.

At the lecture: you will receive techniques to control your attention so that you can have it directed towards the Present and not towards the future, if that is what you want.
