On Thanksgiving Day 1976, The Band gave their legendary farewell concert, The Last Waltz, in San Francisco - a musical highlight that brought together a number of the greatest musical icons of the time on the same stage, including Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, NeilYoung, Van Morrison, Eric Clapton and many moreThe concert, which supposedly put a definitive end to the 'Woodstock era' of the 60s and 70s, was immortalized by film director Martin Scorsese and still stands as one of the most landmark nights in rock history.

In a respectful tribute to the original material, a number of the country's strongest voices and musicians present classics such as The Weight, I Shall Be Released and The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down.The audience can look forward to an evening where the music and spirit are brought to life in new, present interpretations - with nerve, authenticity and infectious joy of playing.
CELEBRATING THE LAST WALTZis more than a concert. It is a musical ritual, a party and a musical celebration - a rare chance to relive one of the most mythical evenings in rock history in the country's most beautiful concert hall.
THE TEAM BEHIND
The concert at the Royal Theatre is presented by the team behind, among others, WOODSTOCK '69 - A Tribute Concert (2019), The Art of Joy in Chorus (2022) and Joni Mitchell - A Tribute Concert (2023), all of whom have played sold-out concerts at the Royal Theatre andtoured throughout the country.
The participating soloists and musicians include profiles who over the years have played with everything from Johnny Madsen, Poul Krebs, Peter Belli, Erik Clausen, Henning Stærk, Birthe Kjær and many, many more.
