Mother Earth invites the audience on a sensual journey into the interior of the earth. Through sound, song, dance and performance, you move down through the layers of the earth. A poetic and participatory performance where natural science is felt in the body.
Mother Earth takes you on a sensual journey into the inner sound and resonance of the earth. Together you move through heavy layers of soil, past roots and hidden organisms, all the way to the core of the earth.
The earth comes alive in your hands - like a peach that can be felt, weighed and examined.
Along the way, the artist collects traces from the world: diatoms, moss mites, hyphae, ochre, gold and cornflowers. Everything is carried in a special laboratory on his back, where the small components of nature become a poetic collection of life, time and connections.
The audience moves in small groups between four stage stations and meets performers, dancers and singers who translate biological and geological knowledge into sound, movement and presence. Here, the audience is not just spectators, but active participants in a sensual universe where the body becomes a co-player in the experience.
Guardians of the Earth unites performance art, music, dance and natural science in a poetic and participatory performance that opens the senses to the life we ??stand on - and are a part of.
The performance is presented in collaboration with JoRD Festival 2026.
