stage. Brian Melvin has played and recorded 6 records with the great late bassist Jaco
Pastorius (where his recording Standards Zone was number one for 13 weeks and is in the
jazz hall of fame in US). He has furthermore played and recorded with many other jazz and
rock legends such as Joe Henderson, John Scofield, Mike Stern, Joe Lovano, Bob Weir
(Grateful Dead) and Beatle jazz and Rashied Ali. Elvin Jones that was John Coltrane's
favorite drummer through many years was Brian Melvins friend and mentor.
