"La Llorona" is an otherworldly take on a staple of Latin American folklore: the tale of a crying woman who killed her children. Rooting the story in Guatemala's more recent history of violence against indigenous people, and particularly women, this version of "La Llorona" is a chilling reflection on injustice.
