About us:
Latvian choir "In Corde Meo" celebrates its 15th
anniversary, marking a decade and a half of singing,
community, and heartfelt dedication to Latvian
choral tradition in Copenhagen. Since its founding,
the choir has performed at concerts and cultural
events across Denmark, Latvia, as well as abroad,
bringing together singers who share a deep love for
music and for their heritage.
The name In Corde Meo - "in my heart" - embodies
the sincere and ever present bond and affection for
Latvia.
Throughout its history, the choir has been led by
several wonderful conductors, each leaving a unique
musical imprint on the ensemble. This anniversary
program honours them all, as many pieces performed
today are dedications to them and the chapters they
shaped. Other selections are cherished favourites of
the choir members, celebrating the songs that have
held special meaning along the way.
Under the direction of the conductor Rudolfs Bacans,
and accompanied by the Ukrainian pianist Kateryna
Luzhetska, In Corde Meo continues its journey.
