Logan's Close + Caper Clowns

Logan's Close and Caper Clowns LIVE @ CCCLOGAN'S CLOSE. Logan's Close www.logansclose.com. Pull up a beanbag and cut a rug. Logan's Close is coming to town.

With their debut album, Heart-Shaped Jacuzzi, the Edinburgh based band, headed by Scott Rough and Carl Marah, are showcasing the record's shimmering collection of instant classics in the grooviest underground emporiums around.
Originally comin' straight outta Dunbar - arguably Scotland's lesser known rock and roll capital - Rough and Marah formed Logan's Close in order to fuse their love of Merseybeat, British invasion baroque bubblegum and laidback Los Angeles soft psych with a more Now sounding approach to songwriting. Having drafted in Stuart Neil on bass, Sean Morrison on keys, and Gavin Lamont on drums, the fruits of the dynamic duo's union can be heard across a spate of singles released over the last eight years.
This included a sold out spectacle at The Liquid Rooms in Edinburgh in December 2023, where the bandperformed in its entirety "Heart-Shaped Jacuzzi", a '60s tinged collection that moves from basement bar bravura to tripped out Happening, without taking an entire decade to get there.
"Heart-Shaped Jacuzzi" was recorded in Hamburg, once upon a time the red light district breeding ground for British beat groups' sometimes dubious rites of passage, and now playing host to a new generation of young men who should know better.
If the '90s were just the '60s turned upside down, Logan's Close are the Century 21 sons and heirs to both.
"The sexiest band in Scotland" - Vic Galloway, BBC Radio Scotland
"This is a superb outfit who deserve great things to happen in the future" - Edinburgh Evening News
"They have a seemingly endless energy on stage; which is coupled with clever harmonies and really groovy tunes. It would be verd indeed, not to like what they do. Utterly infectious." - The Write Angle

CAPER CLOWNSCaper Clowns won Best Live Act 2020 - one of four big awards provided by Odense Live Sponsorforening, the biggest of its kind outside the Copenhagen area.
Caper Clowns are packing more than 300 gigs in their luggage, including support gigs for bands like Level 42 (UK), Lise Westzynthius (DK), The Broken Beats (DK), The Eclectic Moniker (DK) and The Crookes (UK). Caper Clowns also featured in the IPO festival line-up in Liverpool three years in a row 2017, 2018, 2019 & 2022. The festival is held at The Cavern Club, and is attended by more than 140 acts from all over the world.

Caper Clowns is somewhat of a family reunion - there is father and son, two brothers, and an adoptee.
Rick is the son of Henrik, who has been the musical teacher of the school that Peter, Christian and Rick all attended.
Henrik joined as a temporary replacement, and was kept out of the formal spotlight as he, per own statement, was a tad old for such an endeavour. After a year or so, the entire band was convinced that it was impossible to replace the replacement, being an outstanding musician, who also owned a sound studio with a complementary car big enough to fit their 88 keys Roland stage piano!
Rasmus, the adoptee, joined as the drummer of Caper Clowns in 2018, after spending several years at Nordfyns Percussion, with whom he toured in Japan, as well as playing a concert for The Royal House of Denmark - with high expectations from Caper Clowns to utilize Rasmus' royal connections in the near future!
There are a lot of creative forces in Caper Clowns - despite only being a five piece act, there are four lead singers, three guitarists, two drummers, a bass player, two keyboard players, five backing vocals, three percussion players, a banjo player, one on lap steel guitar and five songwriter, all on one stage! Not to mention the extended list when recording in the studio!
