* Meet Gerdan Theatre from Ukraine for the first time in Copenhagen! For over 30 years, Gerdan Theatre has been reimagining tradition for the contemporary stage.
Ancient Ukrainian rituals and folk songs, original music, and expressive movement come together in a carefully crafted story that unfolds moment by moment, drawing the audience into an intimate dialogue with the stage.
Nothing here is accidental. Every sound and every gesture carries memory - of generations, of resilience, of a culture that continues to live and transform. Some members of the ensemble serve in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and part of the theatre's earnings supports Ukraine's defenders. What you witness is not an abstract narrative, but the lived reality of Ukraine today.
This is more than a performance. It's a journey into the living soul of Ukrainian culture - where music, movement, and poetry speak louder than words. We invite lovers of theatre and music, Ukrainian communities abroad, and anyone curious to discover Ukraine as it truly is: sincere, deep, and unbreakable.
