Dette lille stykke land, som er hjemsted for planter og dyr, både over og i jorden, skaber nogle helt særlige forudsætninger, der aktiverer fantasien.
Performancen tager inspiration fra træernes naturlige evne til at rodfæste sig og transportere næring fra luften ned i jorden - en proces, der gør jorden beboelig for andre livsformer. I Forest Stages åbnes der spørgsmål om hvordan det at "rodfæste sig" (både som botanisk proces og i metaforisk forstand) kan nære vores drømme og lede os i retningen af en mere håbefuld fremtid.
Forest Stages er en invitation til at samles om et sted. Publikum mødes på en forudbestemt lokation, hvorfra de vil blive taget med på en lille vandring i det nærliggende landskab inden de møder skoven.

Institute of Interconnected Realities (I-IR) er en kunstnersammenslutning initieret af koreograferne og de kunstneriske ledere Ida-Elisabeth Larsen og Marie-Louise Stentebjerg samt skuespiller Jonathan Bonnici i 2021 (nu associeret kunstner). Sammen med en større gruppe af associerede kunstnere har I-IR skabt koreografisk arbejde, der har været præsenteret på scener, gallerier og site-specifikt i Danmark og internationalt siden 2019.
Forest Stages er en del af en igangværende research af I-IR om Sted og 'steds-tænkning'. Disse temaer tilgås både fra et økologisk og et kropsligt perspektiv i en undersøgelse af, hvordan deres betydninger udvider vores forståelse af koreografi og dets traditioner.
ENGLISH:
Forest Stages is a place-responsive performance created by the Institute of Interconnected Realities (I-IR) with and at a small forest near Hårbølle in the island of Møn. This small piece of land, which is home to plants and animals, both above and below ground, creates some very special prerequisites that will activate our imagination.
The work takes inspiration from the trees' natural ability to take roots and transport nutrients from the air into the ground - a process that makes the ground habitable for other life forms. In Forest Stages questions open up about how "rooting" (both as a botanical process and in a metaphorical sense) can nourish our dreams and lead us in the direction of a more fertile future.
Forest Stages is an invitation to gather around a place. The audience meets at a predetermined location, from where they will be taken on a small hike in the nearby countryside before meeting the forest.
ATTENTION! As the whole performance takes place outdoors, the audience is advised to wear suitable shoes and clothing.

Together with a larger group of associated artists, the I-IR has created choreographic work which has been presented on stages, galleries and site-specific around Denmark and abroad since 2019.
Forest Stages is part of ongoing research by I-IR on place and 'place-thinking'. These themes are approached from both an ecological and a bodily perspective in.
