What is the advantage of a guided canoe trip to Himmelbjerget?

On a guided canoe trip to Himmelbjerget, an experienced instructor will instruct you in the most important paddling techniques and ensure that you get the most out of the trip. By having learned a little basic paddling technique, you get better control of your canoe and thus a better experience out of the canoe trip. You don't have to take care of all the practicalities of the trip, as everything has been prepared for you. You just have to sit down in the canoe and enjoy rowing through the beautiful landscape around Himmelbjerget.

It gives you peace of mind on the trip when there is a skilled guide with you who is in charge of both safety and all the practicalities associated with the trip.

Which nature experiences for you?

There is plenty of beautiful nature to see on the stretch between Ry and Himmelbjerget. There is a rich bird life on and along the water. There are lots of waterfowl in the area. You are sure to see herons, mallards and Grebes. With a bit of luck, we may even see the beautiful kingfisher flying by or a sea eagle soaring high in the sky above us. Along the way, you will also get some interesting information and funny anecdotes about the places we pass.

What do you need to know about the trip?

The tour starts at the Skimminghøj tent site in Ry and you come through Birksø and past Allinge out to Julsøen, where Himmelbjerget rises to its full height of 147 m.

At Himmelbjerget we take a longer break. There will be time to climb the "mountain". It is a 15 to 20 minute walk from the water up to the top with the tower. From here there is a fantastic view of the Søhøjlandet on all sides. It is here at the foot of Himmelbjerget that you will be served a light "wilderness lunch". During the trip, there will be short breaks where you will have the opportunity to stretch your legs and have a cup of coffee to strengthen yourself

Entrance fee: 800 DKK
