A better future: Keeping up hope!

Exhausted? Scared? Overwhelmed by the state of the world? Join this workshop! In times of crises, it is easy to lose hope. How can we even imagine a better society?

That is the focus of this workshop, held by Ash-Lee Henderson and Allyn Maxfield-Steele.

Together, they are the executive directors of Highlander Center in Tennessee (USA) - a legendary center for activism and solidarity.

This weekend they are here in Aarhus (yay!) and in this workshop they will inspire us to:
KEEP UP THE HOPE
OVERCOME FEAR AND NEGATIVITY
CREATE UTOPIAN VISIONS ABOUT THE FUTURE WE WANT
START ACTING AND BUILDING A DIFFERENT FUTURE TOGETHER

Everyone is welcome - we really hope to see people of different ages and different backgrounds!

Maybe you already work with nature, sustainability, LGBTQ+ rights, racial justice, or democracy. Maybe you are simply a citizen who is tired of being afraid for the world and in need of some hope and joy - and a reminder that your voice matters. Today, let's connect and start believing in a better future!

The workshop is free, but please book a ticket via the link.

ABOUT THE HIGHLANDER CENTER:

Highlander Research and Education Center (formerly Highlander Folk School) is a catalyst for grassroots organizing and movement building. It was central to the Civil Rights Movement in the 1950s and 1960s and still works with people fighting for justice, equality, and sustainability, supporting their efforts to take collective action to shape their own destiny.
